Mission Statement:
Unleashing Satellites seeks to bring undergraduate poets together and to unite poetry communities between colleges in the Long Island area. Aiming to close the gap between student/college publications and professional publications, the contest and the anthology seek to encourage the continued effort and creativity of young aspiring poets while also introducing them to the larger poetry community. 3 Cash Prizes!! All poems submitted will be considered for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes plus publication in the next Unleashing Satellites Anthology published by Local Gems Poetry Press |
