Join The Two Futures Poetry Chapbook Challenge!
September
18th-25th 2023!

Some philosophers suggest writing two separate journals from two separate futures, one where all your dreams, goals, plans worked out, and one where they didn’t. You would examine what went right or what went wrong, and this is a deep look into causality and meant to steady one’s life true north.

Here, we are taking this exercise and turning it into a very compelling poetry challenge!
The Two Futures Poetry Challenge! Where you will write about and explore two possible paths.

15 Poems in 7 Days

Will you accept the challenge?

How Does It Work?

Step 1:
You register for the challenge.
Step 2:
For the 10 days of the challenge
you write 2 poems a day most days and one of the seven days you write 3, so at the end you will have 15 total poems.
Each day you will get a poetry prompt video emailed to you.

Step 3:
If you complete the challenge, you will have an opportunity to get the chapbook printed!

100 Poetry Prompts
Book Included!

Participation:

Each day of the contest the participants will be emailed a prompt video for the day. They will also receive the 100 Poetry Prompt downloadable workbook the first day of the challenge. All participants are free to use the main prompts, prompts from the journal or any other ideas or inspiration they have for writing their poems, the only hard and fast rule is to write the 15 poems in 10 days!

Printing

If the challenge is completed, the participant can inform us of the completion and then have the opportunity for Local Gems Press to print a chapbook for them--the finished chapbooks will be pocket-sized books, 4.25 by 6.9.

Registration: Closes Sept 16th Midnight
Midnight EST (Or When Full)

Because of high demand, at this time we have to limit this challenge to the first 100 people who register. We will keep you updated with how many spots we have left, but we expect it to fill up quickly.

After registration you will get an email on September 17th with the introduction and further instructions. (Be sure to check promotions and spam folders.)
