Publishing Your PoetryWriting poetry and publishing poetry are two different things. Many poets find getting their first few publications to be the hardest.
The publishers of Local Gems Press have launched books and anthologies in many countries and many US states, including over 120 anthologies. They have given seminars and talks on publishing talks virtually and in person and are here to offer a special series about getting one's poetry published. Using their knowledge of the trade from behind the scenes, they aim to arm the listeners with enough knowledge to change the rejection/acceptance ratio in their favor, and to help them find more opportunities for publishing their work. |

Poetry Book Master CourseThe publishers of Local Gems Press have taught many seminars on topics on putting together, publishing and marketing poetry books. Hundreds of people have attended these seminars and gone on to produce books from the resulting knowledge. But there is always a demand for more; a more inclusive mastery level offering. In addition, Local Gems Press is only one publisher, why not get some expert advice from some other publishers as well? That's what the poetry book master course is about!
To make this series even more special, we have instructional interviews from two other well-known, hard-working, accomplished publishers: Crisis Chronicles Press and Human Error Publishing. They both talk with Local Gems Press publisher James P. Wagner (Ishwa) about what they look for when accepting poetry books, and various ways to build audiences and market poetry books in today's world. |

Planning A Poetry Book TourAs many of you know, the publishers of Local Gems Press have launched books and anthologies in many countries and many US states. Many of you have met them while they’ve been on tour. They have had, over 100 successful poetry events in many different places and people often ask them about what goes into planning a poetry book tour and how they can do the same thing. James P. Wagner (Ishwa) and Nick Hale, in this series, go into all the details behind planning a tour.
To make this series even more special, we have instructional interviews from two other well-known, well-traveled poets, publishers and Laureates to get their thoughts, insights and ideas on the topic as well. |

Publishing Your Poetry ChapbookThe poetry chapbook is often the first book a poet creates. Even veteran poets who have published many full-length books get into the trend of releasing smaller chapbooks on specific themes or topics or in response to specific poetry challenges, forms etc. People use poetry chapbooks as gifts, legacy pieces, as a sampling of their work for potential features and more. The publishers at Local Gems Press have helped over 500 poets publish, print, or create poetry chapbooks, for various reasons. We've had a lot of requests for a more in-depth course specifically focusing on publishing or printing a poetry chapbook and that's exactly what we've done!
